The Casper Artists' Guild, Inc. is a nonprofit organization offering art exhibitions and workshops for the education and enjoyment of the citizens of Casper and its surrounding communities. The Guild was organized in 1924, making it one of the oldest organizations in the State dedicated to promoting and developing an interest in visual arts. Our Purpose is to provide an opportunity for members to create art for their own enjoyment, to learn new artistic skills, or to improve on the skills they have. Beginning artists are welcome as well as professionals.
We are a volunteer organization. There are many areas where members can be of considerable assistance in Guild activities! It takes the efforts of many people to put on successful shows, workshops, and to manage the affairs of the Guild. We hope you will attend receptions for show openings and enjoy the refreshments and fellowship. Please choose an activity, or job, on a subcommittee that appeals to you and join in the fun!

Convergent Photography workshop
Coming from an era of film and darkrooms, I stumbled a bit with the introduction of the digital camera.
The conflict within me grew as the digital trend intensified, causing me to question reality in art. I found myself lost between trying to stay current with the times, while clinging to tradition.
My photography represents the result of this conflict. The collision of reality and simulation. The mixing of media. A convergence of genres.
Working with subjects varying from landscape to life form, mixing media has helped me blend the new with the old, holding on to a touch of tradition while embracing the evolution of technology.
Look closely and you will see where the two meet.
Register in person at 321 W. Midwest Ave, or call our front desk at 307-265-2655.
