The Casper Artists' Guild, Inc. is a nonprofit organization offering art exhibitions and workshops for the education and enjoyment of the citizens of Casper and its surrounding communities. The Guild was organized in 1924, making it one of the oldest organizations in the State dedicated to promoting and developing an interest in visual arts. Our Purpose is to provide an opportunity for members to create art for their own enjoyment, to learn new artistic skills, or to improve on the skills they have. Beginning artists are welcome as well as professionals.
We are a volunteer organization. There are many areas where members can be of considerable assistance in Guild activities! It takes the efforts of many people to put on successful shows, workshops, and to manage the affairs of the Guild. We hope you will attend receptions for show openings and enjoy the refreshments and fellowship. Please choose an activity, or job, on a subcommittee that appeals to you and join in the fun!

Free cupcakes - August 3rd, 5pm-8pm
The August 3 Art Walk at ART 321 promises to be something really special! The first 1,050 people who come in will receive a free cupcake compliments of a very generous donor who has challenged us to break the 1,000 mark on Art Walk attendance. We've come very close several times, but we think a little sweet enticement might be just the incentive needed to push us over the top. If you've always wondered how much space 88 dozen cupcakes take up and you would like to claim one of these treats for yourself, please plan to make ART 321 one of your first stops at the August Art Walk.
NOT TOTALLY ECLIPSED - AUGUST 2017 EXHIBIT
During the month of August, ART 321 hosts a show by featured local artist Melanie Myron. Largely an Eclipse themed exhibition, works by Melanie will reflect her penchant for mixing art media like no other artist. Her background in traditional stained-glass work provides a perfect jumping off spot for her current creations which showcase unique techniques for sculpting with solder on a canvas of steel. She also paints steel with a grinder and torch, combines glass and metal and adds layers and textures by combining different metals and natural materials like wood and stone. This show will definitely be a highlight in Casper's 2017 Solar Eclipse celebration!
August ART WALK RAFFLE
Each month, a different piece of art will be raffled off. Tickets ($5 each or 5 for $20) will be sold all month and the drawing will be held at the end of the Art Walk evening.
Chuck Smith has generously donated a beautiful original watercolor painting, "Big Red Hay Barn" as ART 321's August Art Walk raffle prize. Upon his retirement from Sinclair Refinery, Chuck rediscovered his artistic side and has been finding both inner joy and public recognition through his art. Earlier this year, Chuck's design won the Public Art People's Choice award and has followed up that honor by winning awards in the Wyoming Watercolor Show, the July ART 321 Member Show and being accepted into the Wyoming Watercolor Society's International show in Sheridan in August. Chuck's winning public art painting can now be seen on the corner of Center & B Streets.
